Dr. Handwerker has been in practice for 25 years. He is a member of the Alta Bates Medical Group. Currently President of the Alameda Contra Costa Podiatry Association, he is also a member in good standing of the California and American Podiatry Associations. Dr. Handwerker grew up and was educated in New York City. He is a graduate of Hofstra University with a major in biology and minor in economics. Dr Handwerker graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1976.
